ive already gotten accepted to Rutgers University

do you think i'll get in to JMU? i applied for Early Action... do you think i'll get accepted?

it is very possible but remember many of the deferrals do eventually get in. I knowthat last year i saw a bunch of random decisions that seemed not to make sense to me - particularly high score/high GPA kids deferred. My D had similar UW gpa of yours, and a little higher SAT/ACT scores, but did get accepted, which we were thinking she would be deferred. You should know soon.

pyeccs - Here are some stats from my d’s in-state public hs that might help. There were over 100 applicants from this school last year. 60% were accepted. The avg weighted gpa was 3.9 (school weights only AP and IB, one full quality point, e.g. A=5). Avg 3-part SAT was over 1800. I would imagine out-of-state would be a little higher, on average. Of course, some students were accepted with lower stats, so you never know. But JMU is not as easy to get into as it once was.

Here are the overall admissions stats from their most recent Common Data Set:

i think you’ll get in RD. unfortunately, JMU carefully looks at your courseload and how rigorous it is, which is why i think i got in. i’m taking college-level calculus as a senior with 2 APs and all honors classes. you have a strong chance getting into JMU RD.

I’m nervous because i took only 1 AP class(and it was bs) and I got a C lol(i had problems with my teacher and switched to another teacher)
But a lot of my friends got deferred and they had similar stats but took some AP’s.
