Brown and RISD is starting a joint degree program but I'm not sure of the specifics. The schools are side by side but I'm not sure which school is considered the primary one.

One suggestion ... find a listing of Mini's entitlement index ... and start at the bottom of the list ... pretty good odds the school is diverse economically, ethnically, and is quite inclusive ... schools like this tend to be quite open to the arts. This was a serious suggestion ... for one of my kids I am going to suggest doing exactly this to possibly highlight additional schools my child should check out.

Greetings!

I think this thread has covered most of the bases. One other school that I don't recall seeing is Wheaton College (MA).

Regarding diversity, I think most of these schools are trying. Of course, some are being more successful than others. My D is a freshman at Drew in NJ, which reportedly enrolled 20% minority and international students in the Class of 2011 this year. This was a new record for them, reflecting the new president's commitment to diversity.

Yes, Grinnell is trying too--not everyone will go to the middle of Iowa, but the International numbers are up this year, I've heard.
