Can someone advise me on math minor?

I have taken Calc 1, 2, and 3.

Would this route seem plausible?

-Math 217 (So. yr)
-Math 425 (So. yr)
-Math 423 (Jr. yr)
-Math 424 (jr. yr)

Do these course math sense? are they going to be too hard for me?

For the minor, I have two course from category A: math 215, 217 and 3 from category b: math 425, 423, 424. Is that correct? College of Literature, Science, and the Arts

That seems like a pretty reasonable schedule, and it will meet the requirements for a minor.

Are you thinking about trying to pass an actuarial certification exam after you finish taking the classes for your math minor? If you are, you might want to make sure you're not missing any classes that cover things that will be on the exam.

Agree with dilksy, the schedule looks good. I was actually gonna do the math minor path as well, and my projected schedule was very similar (if not the same).

How do I get the permission to take Math 295 this fall(I'm an incoming freshman)

If you're in the Honors college, I don't think you need to get special permission. Otherwise, you can talk to somebody in the math undergraduate office [either by e-mail (UM Mathematics-Staff , you probably want the first person listed under 'student services'), or you can just show up sometime when you're at orientation (undergrad office is on the second floor of East Hall, directlty to the left of the elevator)].

I'm not sure if I remember this correctly, but I think you need special permission, even if you're in the Honors College. It will be closed on the course guide for all students, so you need an override.
At orientation, you can ask an adviser about it and they'll direct you to the Honors Math adviser.

Christine is correct about 295. There are no "automatics" permissions, so see a math advisor.
