can someone answer some questions for me

my average for my first two years of high school is 3.74 weighted (is that average) and halfway thru junior year
do colleges look at each marking period or do they just look at the year (i have a d this semester in english)
Also if this continues my gpa should fall to around 3.5 weighted
and my sat is only average at 1700
would i be competitive at all for pharmacy (Uconn (prepharmacy), USP, or MCPHS)
please help i am anxious and scared that this year ruin my chance for college

Unless you go to a very rigorous/competitive school, 3.74 weighted sounds pretty average. Why are you getting a D?
What’s your unweighted GPA?
Look up the median GPA and SAT score for the schools you want to apply to and try to get them at or above that level.

Agree with halyconheather. Regarding what the schools look at, they look at whatever your high school puts on your transcript. So if your school sent you one at the end of last year (my kids’ school sends one out every year), look at that. I would say that most schools show semester grades. So my kid typically shows two grades for a year long course like Geometry – one grade for the first half of the year and one for the second half of the year.

unweighted is around 3.5 and i got a d because i got too into studying for the sats (firth practice test i got 1360 so i got scared) so before i notice it my english grade plummeted without me noticing but semester wise it should be a low b or a high c

Good, pull up the semester grade as far as you can.

so they don’t see marking period grade and only see semester because if that is true i would feel so much better since it was only that grade that was bugging me

No one here can actually answer that. You have to look at what your high school prints on a transcript. If you are not sure, ask if you can get a copy of your current transcript from the office. Or just ask them this question.

ok thanks everyone for the answer
