I cant decide between pre med (mainly for my parents) and finance.

Can you chance me for NYU CAS for pre med, NYU Stern for finance, UC Berkeley, SUNY Stony Brook, SUNY Binghamton, Boston University, Boston College, Penn State University Park, University of Chicago, Fordham University, Uconn, Rutgers, and any other suitable colleges you can think of.

I can’t chance you because i’m not accustomed to the 100 GPA scale. Just wanted to say that you should do what you want, not what your parents want. It’s your life, if your parents are gonna live your life, then you might as well not even bother going to college lol. Sounds harsh but it’s true!

From what I believe your GPA is around 3.7ish and your SAT superscore is 2150. Here are your chances:

NYU Stern for finance - Low reach
NYU CAS - Match
UC Berkeley - Low reach
Boston University - High safety
Boston College - Match
Penn State University Park - Safet
University of Chicago - Reach
Fordham University - Safety
Rutgers - Safety

anyone else? bump

NYU Stern- Match
NYU CAS- Match
Berkeley- Reach (because of the 3.7 GPA)
Boston U- Match
Boston College- High Match
Penn State- High Safety
U Chicago- Far Reach
Fordham- Safety
Rutgers- High Safety

You have a sweet resume, just the GPA is a tad low (usually 3.8 is the threshold for top schools, not 3.7.) I’m giving you match on NYU Stern because you’ve been there/are going there this summer, which is pretty cool.

NYU Stern- high match/low reach
NYU CAS- match
Berkeley- reach
Boston U- match
Boston College- high match
U Chicago- high reach

I don’t know enough about the other schools so I can’t chance you on those. I think your GPA might be a little low, but I’m not sure if those schools count your 8th grade courses. Also, if pre-med is mostly for your parents I would go with finance. It’s impressive that you managed finance for the stores you worked at, etc. Plus applying to medical school in the future doesn’t require a degree in pre-med.
