Hi! I was wondering if I post some key application components like my scores, EC’s, grades, and even my supplemental “why Barnard” essay if you guys could chance me. I’m realllllly anxious and I really want to go there, it’s my dream school!
I would be happy to chance you, but I am not sure chance threads are much help. Since your application is already sent in, it is out of your hands. My suggestion would be to try to relax and just wait until decisions come out. You have done your job, and now it is time to let the admissions officers do theirs.
Out of curiosity, did you apply ED II to Wellesley? I saw your comment in the thread, and I’m a bit confused as to why you would if Barnard is your dream. Also, I would suggest NOT posting your essay on a public forum. If you must share it with someone on College Confidential, send the essay to them in a private message.
I agree with everything said above. I’d just like to emphasize that you should not post your essay here, because it can come up in plagiarism checkers.
you guys are right, i think im just feeling insecure about my chances anywhere really. wellesley and barnard are both my top choice but i couldn’t ED for barnard so i thought i’d try for wellesley but i’m not sure i’ll get in. thanks for your advice, i should just leave it.

I see. Well, the decision date for Wellesley ED II will be here before you know it! Like you, I am also waiting to hear back the 22nd. Keep in mind that Wellesley is competitive, so they reject qualified people all the time. I think it really just comes down to what the admissions office is looking for to shape the class.
I think that insecure feelings you are having are completely normal. A lot of people second guess their abilities and tend to overthink things. Just remind yourself that you have worked hard in high school. I am sure you are a desirable applicant to the colleges you applied to and have as good a chance as any competitive applicant.
Best of luck to you.
@figureskater2 Wow I thought I responded to this, I am so sorry! Thank you so much for your kind words of encouragement, I appreciate it so much. You didn’t have to go out of your way and write such a lovely response to an anxious student but you did, and for that I thank you. Just an update, I got deferred from Wellesley EDII and now I am really hoping for Barnard and Wellesley again, mainly Barnard since it is my dream school. How is your admissions process going? Thanks again for the lovely response and I also wish you the best of luck my friend. <3
@beepboop344 You’re welcome! I also got deferred, so I’m hoping I get in in a few weeks. Again, good luck to you.
