Colleges where I am thinking:

UPenn
Notre Dame
MIT
Virginia
Cornell
UC Berkerly
Michigan
NYU

I am thinking about business

If you’re a sophomore now, you definitely have a very strong platform to build a great transcript and resume that will be highly competitive at that list of schools. Get the ACT as high as you can and make sure to keep up the otherwise great work (not that a 32 isnt great!).

Best of luck to you!

thanks man! haha its good to get a response… do you have any idea which schools are reaches which are targets?

bring up the gpa and you need some significant ec’s

Penn, MIT and Cornell are high reaches, rest are about fit - low reach.

Everything depends on what you do from here on though. You still have quite a bit of time :D.

I would also make sure that you take all AP/IB classes that your school offers because they are deemed more rigorous than honors - that is as far as I know; I am an international so anyone care to back up or refute my assertion? Try and pull yourself up to the top 5 or 10% of your class and take the SAT (aim for 2200+). Good luck!

Look into Emory. Top 10 undergrad business.

thanks guys, but the thing bout emory is that it’s just not well known… another thing is, let’s suppose that i might switch my major to economics or political science? How would i look to georgetown, princeton, stanford etc.?

bump…

Top 15% would pretty much make schools like Wharton, MIT, Stanford and Princeton impossible unfortunately, but Georgetown level a possibility if you work your butt off at the new school and achieve top 5% and great scores.

Emory is plenty well known and still a reach when you’re not minimum top 10%.
