I applied ED at Brown and know that it is also a long shot but I thought that I may try my luck at Wesleyan. Definitely applying RD to Wes.

Obviously nothing is certain, but I’d say you have a really great shot at Wes (jealous!). Although your testing isn’t as high as the Wesleyan average, being a Native American (from Oklahoma especially) will be a HUGE help. Definitely puts it well within reach, at any rate!

Thank you cotton!!

Thats reassuring. I love Brown, so if not accepted there and i happen to be at Wesleyan, I am definitely going to take a visit. Seems fairly similar.

Yeah, they are somewhat similar- a lot of students apply to both Wes and Brown, at any rate (I’m applying to both!). Wesleyan’s campus is really nice, and the students I’ve met there are quite friendly- Middletown doesn’t have nearly as many restaurants/shops as Providence (or any urban vibe whatsoever) but there’s almost anything you’d really need in town, and New Haven’s about a half hour away. Everyone I know who’s gone to Wesleyan really loves it (though the same can be said for Brown).

your in no problem

Well I will definitely go visit in April if I am rejected or deferred from Brown ED.

Question though- Does anybody know anything about how Wesleyan fares regarding finance/wall street recruitment? It is definitely not super important or a deciding factor, but I would like do go to a school that does well in this regard incase it is the route I choose to pursue.

I’m not quite sure what qualifies a college as a “target school”; it probably has to do with the volume of recruits from that school and whether it warrants a visit from the firm. The LACs compensate for their lack of numbers by taking part in “consortia” sponsored day trips into Manhattan for the purpose of interviewing at top firms: [Wesleyan University: CRC](http://www.wesleyan.edu/crc/employers/recruiting_orgs.htt)
