bummmmpffff

Bumppppppppp

What’s pre-med and finance? We have a school of arts and sciences (which would be pre-med) and a school of management which is where you’d probably be for finance. They both have different requirements. I’d say you’re probably good to just get into Harpur, but SOM might be a little trickier. Your GPA is slightly low but overall I’d say you’re okay.

anyone else bump

You’re good to go at Bing.

You could apply to SOM for finance or whatever (I don’t think we have a specific “finance” major, but I’m not in SOM so I don’t know for sure) and also be pre-med but I wouldn’t recommend it. Balancing the work in SOM and being pre-med would be a lot of work and I don’t think there is much overlap between the two programs if any at all.

Yeah, if you were planning to do both, don’t. I have a friend in SOM who is also pre-health and it’s a huge mess even though she’s very smart and motivated.

Dont do both and pre med is very very hard. finance is very good at nyu and will land you a job at city with good bucks. pre med will take 12 years including med schools before you have a job compare to finance which will employ you after 4 years. That being said pre med is also very good at nyu. Binghamton is not really known for pre med. Bussiness is the way to go if you wanna be rich. my opinion but choice is yours. also take act you may do better

Hey NYUhopeful1, I am also sikh, I think you have a great chance. The only thing I want to tell you is that you have your race listed as American Indian. I’m pretty sure that American Indians are Native American. Just saying, if you are from India, I think you should just list yourself as Asian. I just don’t want you to mess up on your Common App or something. So, don’t take anything personally. :)

“My guidance counselors knows my drive and is going to give me an excellent recommendation letter, my physics teacher will give me an amazing one, the doctor i am currently shadowing will also write me one, and I will try to get the biology professor at NYU precollege to write me one”.

Binghamton only allows you to send them one recommendation besides the guidance counselor one.
