Can someone clear something up for me about transfering?

Okay, so this is my first year of college. I'm attending Community College this year to get my grades up. After this semester, I'll have 15 credits. After my second semester, I'll have 30 on the nose. But, I'm applying for schools like Emerson, URI, Providence College, Boston University, & Keene State College for Fall admission, and all of their applications are due approx. April 1st. Now, I won't have my 30 credits completed by the time my applications due, and a couple of those schools have the policy that I don't have to send my SAT and HS Transcript if I have 30 credits. Even though at the time I send my application in, I'll only have 15 credits (and 15 more in process), will I have to send my HS Trans. & SAT to the schools that don't require it if 30 credits are completed?

I hope I'm making sense right now.. haha.

Yes, you will have to send in your SAT scores and your high school transcript because you will have completed only 15 credits by the time they review your application and make a decision.

I believe most of those schools are rolling admissions. Id recommend checking for sure on collegeboards website. If they are rolling you can submit your application and then send your transcript once your semester is over. You’ll just find out later in the summer which can be a bit nerve wrecking but if your trying to avoid showing your HS grades that would be the best solution.

They will not make a decision without a COMPLETED application which includes; current college transcript, current college professor recommendations, high school transcript, SAT/ACT scores, fully completed transfer application including your essay.

Now, regarding the “only 15 credits completed” issue–those credits are currently in progress and have not been completed. You will send your current transcript with your application now (it shows the courses for which you are currently registered) and follow up with an update transcript at the end of the fall semester after your grades have been recorded. It’s common to wait to send this updated transcript for the fall semester until your final grades for the semester are officially recorded on it and your list of registered classes for the Spring are indicated on it.

Your transfer application decision will depend on this Fall semester final transcript, your high school transcript, your SAT/ACT scores, your professor recommendations, and your essay.
Your decision will be conditional (not final) until you follow up by sending an updated college transcript which will also include your final grades for the Spring semester.
