Can someone dissect my scholarship chances?

Hi...I was wondering if someone could analyze my chances of getting into one of these colleges for free:

<a href="http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/college/rankings/brief/t1natudoc_brief.php%5B/url%5D">http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/college/rankings/brief/t1natudoc_brief.php</a></p>

I am a National Hispanic Scholar Finalist.

My 2 SATs went as follows:
4/06- 630 CR, 650 M, 700 W
6/06- 630 CR, 750 M, 620 W

My GPA (if I remember correctly) as of August was 4.1 weighted, 3.7 unweighted.

My class rank (as of August) was 192/630

Of course, just like everyone else, I am looking for that "full tuition" scholarship (at least). I am wondering where I should turn for the most money, and remember they have to be on that list of top national universities.

Thanks in advance.

You're obviously smart, but your grades leave you out of the pack. Are you Hispanic or bi-lingual? If so, take the TOEFL (Test Of English as a Foreign Language - who's to say what you speak in the privacy of your home?) and get a perfect score; it'll look great on your resume! Getting a full ride at a top school is pie in the sky!

If you live in FL you'll get the scholarship , but its value is a paltry $3,250.

Your post refers to merit-based financial aid. Most schools on the list fill need-based aid. You didn't mention your parents' income level, which is the major determining factor for need-based aid.

It depends on where you apply. Given your sign on name "freddy" i'm thinking you might be a male, but
there is a competitive women's college in GA (Agnes Scott) that your scores would be in the running for a few of their scholarships. Although you wouldn't qualify for their presidential scholarships (full ride), you WOULD qualify for one hispanic scholarship (also full ride) The score cut offs for that one are 1920 and 3.5 gpa. Given that their tuition/room/board is roughly $33,000 - $35,000 per year- not a bad deal.

Just check out the colleges you want to attend and look at their websites or contact financial aid.
