Can someone do me a HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE favor concerning the UC's?

The GPA numbers listed for the UC campuses in post #3 refer to a UC GPA.

To compute your UC GPA, go to this thread:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/527903-uc-gpa.html

and read my post #7.

Also, be aware that your numbers will need to be better than what is posted above in #3 since you are out-of-state, and the numbers given for the UCs are the school averages. Since over 90% of all students are from in-state, the numbers are skewed accordingly.

Lastly, you need to realize that the more honors/AP/IB classes you take past the 8 semester limit, the more your overall UC GPA will fall if you are above the 4.0 number to begin with (this is because you can only get a 4.0 in those classes, but can get as much as a 5.0 in the first 8 semesters of honors classes). Recognize that the adcoms take this into account in determining who to admit to the campuses–and do not penalize those who take more difficult classes.
