Can someone explain how the cluster system works?

<p>I'm kinda confused as to how the cluster system works.</p>

<p>Also, how does the placement work? is it dependent of SAT's or AP's?</p>

<p>There are Rochester students on AIM and MSN from I think 7pm to 11pm in the evenings to answer your questions. I don't remember the screen names but they're on the website. They might be more helpful than I am. </p>

<p>My impression of the cluster system is that you choose classes from three categories (sciences, social sciences, and humanities?). You choose a major in one of the three, then one cluster in each of the other two categories. I think a cluster is a group of related classes. Does this seem right? </p>

<p>What about freshman year, before you choose a major? Maybe a student could help us out here... :)</p>
