What is the purpose of getting in there? Is it hard to get in? Is it even worth to try for it? Is there a big difference between going to UDub normally and going through the Honor program?

This is what i have understood of the honors program:

In the honors program there are usually smaller number of students in the class and you take a tougher courseload.

Also in some universities it is easier to get an internship opportunity by getting into their honors program in comparison to the regular program.

The honors program is tougher to get into than the regular program because the colleges accept the best students for the honors program.

Since I'm out of state what are the chance of me getting in there with only decent stats? By the way, thank for finally answering my post.

for that i am not sure......some universities have a fixed minimum requirement for the honors program like Georgia tech but some have a variable minimum score like Penn state where even if you get a lower score than their minimum if your ec's are good enough they might consider you for the honors.......but i am not sure what they are for University of Washington while in some universities they send an invitation depending on your overall stats - these usually have no minimum but depend on the application pool
