Can someone explain this to me?

Hi, I checked my application status and saw that I had been deferred pending receipt of all official transcripts from each institution attended.

SO I scrolled down the website and saw this next to the community college I attend:An initial official transcript has been received. Please request that a final transcript be sent after completion of all courses completed prior to entering UCF .

I called UCF's admissions department, but the lady wasn't helpful. Can someone explain what they mean by initial and final transcript? Does that mean complete the 2 sumer classes i'm enrolled in? Then they'll issue a decision?

I'm a Florida native and 3.0 student with alot of clubs, etc. on my application.

Yeah I’m pretty sure it means once you are done with your classes there or at least the classes that are in progress.

The same thing happened to me when I first applied. Basically they got all of your transcript information, but they want to make sure you passed all of the classes you’re currently taking before UCF officially accepts you. That happens to a lot of students when they apply before getting their AA.

I was not deffered but am transfering from a 4 year college and got the same message next to the University I am still attending this semester as a first semester junior, fall 2012. Do any of you know if they will be able to make a decision so I can make plans to move, find a place to live down there, jobs ect? The time between my last final here in Wisconsin and the starting date of classes at UCF is minnimal (honestly a week, not even to do everything and get things situated). Will I have an offical decision before this next semester is over? Should I treat this as a semi-offical decision?

An initial official transcript has been received. Please request that a final transcript be sent after completion of all courses completed prior to entering UCF to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, P. O. Box 160111, Orlando, FL 32816-0111, when available.
