Can Someone Explain What is AMSCO?

Sorry guys, but AMSCO is a ubiquitous name in the US History threads, and I was wondering whether the book being mentioned is "US History and Government" by A. Peiser and A. Serber. Just typed AMSCO US History into Amazon UK, where I am now, and thats what I got, and I just wished to clarify.

Thanks a lot.

Sorry for the bump, but I don’t want to buy a book that isn’t what I thought it’d be, so could someone let me know?

This is the book you are looking for:

[Amazon.com: United States History: Preparing for the Advanced Placement Examination (9781567656602): John J. Newman, John M. Schmalbach: Books](http://www.amazon.com/United-States-History-Preparing-Examination/dp/1567656609/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1315947663&sr=8-1)

Amazing book. Do all the practice questions, read through all of it, hold onto it the month before the AP Exam and you’re good to go for the test.

The Apush bible

AMSCO is a publisher based in New York I think and though it makes a number of study books for a number of APs, the APUSH one is famous and referred to as one of the best.
and don’t buy it from amazon or b&n or you’ll be paying a lot more than if you were to buy it from the actual amsco website.

How long does it take to go through the whole book?
