Okay.... first of all, sorry if this is in the wrong area! Secondly, I got a letter of idk... um, commendation from the College Board for my performance on the PSAT of 2008 October... It said that I was like in the top 50000 etc. It mentioned something about a College Selection Service or smoething like that when they report your status to two different colleges. Should I take advantage of it and to where if so? Thanks!

Dartmouth, Brown, Cornell, Brandeis, BC, SUNY Geneseo, URochester

sounds like a scam. I wouldnt be surprised they ask for money for their services when you filled out the form.

If it was an actual letter from the college board then maybe you should call them? lol

yes you might as well take advantage of this service. the ivy league schools don’t really care about it, so i’d recommend sending it to your two favorite non-ivies. some schools (i know rice university does) will waive your application fee for choosing them.

Thanks day tripper! I knew it wasn’t a scam… since five other people opened the same letter right around me. I am going to search through the threads now.
