Can someone help me add some schools to my list please?

Senior year is coming up faster than I thought...

Some stuff:
I have a 3.9 unweighted GPA, won't be weighted until next year.
I got a 28 on the ACT with no prep, I'm gonna study a lot and am hoping for at least a 30.
I'm planning on majoring in cognitive science/neuroscience, maybe a double major with that and spanish.
I'm looking for a mid-size-small school, no more than 12,000ish students.
I kinda want a school in the north because I don't really like hot weather so I don't think I would like it south of Colorado, or so. lol.
I'd like a school with a reputation of having good undergrad research opportunities.

As far as my extra-curriculars go:
Volleyball for all 4 years, Varsity captain next year
Summer Volunteer in a bio lab
Doing paid research this summer in biology
And some other stuff that isn't as important lol.

So right now I pretty much have Northwestern and URochester on my list. And U of M just because I live here but it doesn't really have what I want.

So could you please suggest some good match schools? Merci :)

Volleyball is not only your main EC, it’s your online name, so I’d assume that’s important to you. But Rochester has a Division III athletic program, and NU, in the Big Ten, plays the biggest of the big-times. Are you hoping to play varsity vb in college? Are you accomplished enough to be competitive athletically in the Big Ten?

Ohh no sorry I forgot to say that I’m not planning to play volleyball in college, just intramurals probably. I might be able to play for a small college but I’m definitely not good enough to play in the Big Ten.

U of M where? Are your parents willing to pay OOS rates for school? For instance, Northwestern is $56K/year. Will you need FA or merit aid?

Definitely look at Case Western Reserve University. If finances are a concern, you may be able to get aid there. University of Chicago and Carleton College may be good for you.

Oberlin has a good neuroscience program, and meets most of your other criteria.
