Hi, i just got rejected from my top choice. pretty depressed.
Now, I am considering my options.
How does my councilor send in the transcript to Illinois Uni, I mean they do not use common app or anything, right. What about sending SAT scores?
Forgive me for my ignorace

You have to place an order with the testing agency (College Board for SAT) to send official test scores. Your school should mail the transcript and any high school profile describing courses offered, etc. that it usually sends with a transcript to

Office of Undergraduate Admissions
University of Illinois
901 W. Illinois St., Suite 103
Urbana, IL 61801-3445

Application deadline is January 3. They want transcript and test score in their hands by no later than Jan 12, thus best to order those now to assure they arrive on time (they can get there before application and application will be matched to them).

Can my councilor just scan and then email the transcript to the admission office instead of mailing them?
Thank you for your reply!

No. It needs to be an “official” transcript, meaning one verified as accurate and sent with no risk of any alteration and that means the school sends an official copy in a sealed envelope. Is your counselor actually asking these questions? If so you may need another counselor because everyone I know is aware of the usual rules for official transcripts in that they are either mailed in sealed envelope or electronically delivered to colleges that have electronic delivery set up for receipt of transcripts with the high school (UIUC does not yet). In fact high schools usually send the transcript with a high school profile (which describes the school, courses offered, how weighted GPAs are calculated if they use weighted, other info).
