Can someone help me calculate my CSU GPA?

I don’t know whether I am allowed to only put a-g classes into my CSU GPA for 10th-11th or all my classes from 10th-11th?
Also, the honors cap is somewhat confusing to me. And, one class I took in my sophomore year called STEM Engineering was technically not honors because it did not have that in the course title but the class gave me a .5 boost in my weighted GPA so I don’t know if that will be counted as honors. Also, what does SDSU do with senior year grades? Do we turn in those at all at the time we apply? And if I apply under a Statistics major, does that increase or decrease my acceptance rate?

10th grade:
AP World History: C-
PreCalc w/ Trig HN: C
Chemistry HN: C+
English 10 HN: C+
STEM Engineering: B-
Latin 3: A
Health & PE: A

11th Grade:
AP Calculus: B-
AP English Lang/Comp: A-
AP Statistics: B+
Physics 1 HN: B-
US History: B+
Latin 4: A
Econ & Personal Finance: A

PE is not included in the CSU GPA calculation and Econ/Personal Finance is probably not an a-g course.

You only get 1 grade/year?

I would check this link and type in your HS name to get a list of what is considered a-g courses along which ones are Honors approved. Your HS can designate any course as “honors” and give you extra weighting, but it was is UC approved and on the below articulation list is what will be weighted.

https://hs-articulation.ucop.edu/agcourselist#/list/search/institution

So based on what I think are considered Honors courses which will get the extra points, you have AP World, Honors Pre-Calc, Honors Chemistry, AP Calculus, AP English Comp, AP Stats and Honors Physics.

Since the CSU’s cap at 8 semesters (4 year long classes) of Honors points, you exceed the Honors points limit but your HS course rigor will be noted.

Senior year grades are not available at the time of application so they are not considered in your admission decision, however, you need to pass all Senior classes with a C- or higher to keep your provisional admission.

I get a CSU capped weighted GPA of 3.25.

If Econ/Personal Finance is an a-g course, then your CSU GPA is 3.31.

For the CSU application, you list your Grades with a +/- but for the calculation, the +/- is not calculated. An A- = A. B+=B etc…

If you are aiming for SDSU and the above CSU GPA is correct, then you need around an SAT score of 1500 to be competitive.

SDSU admits by eligibility index (EI) and major. EI= (CSU GPA x800) + (SAT Math + EBRW).

SDSU is a Reach school just based on your CSU GPA. There are many other CSU’s that would be a better match but you need SAT/ACT scores to determine which schools would fit your stats.

I also wanted to add, the a-g course list is only for California High schools and if you are out of state only AP classes count for the extra honors points in the calculation which is still 4 year long classes so your capped weighted CSU remains the same.

Applying as a Statistics major makes little difference since you will be compared to all Stat major applicants. You want to aim for at least an EI of 4100 for the SAT or 1100 for ACT to be competitive.

Also if you are OOS, are you prepared to pay full fees at around $40K/year to attend? No financial aid for OOS applicants so make sure SDSU is affordable before applying.
