Can someone help me lay the path to going to the Univerrsity of Toronto as a transfer student?

Dear readers!

Well here is my situation.

I am currently planning my path into going to University of Toronto, which is my dream university but couldnt attend due to my mediocre high school grades. I really had a turbulent family life and for some reason it caught up to me at the last moment. I am not looking for symphaty and I am not blaming anyone for my failures here, but what I do know is I am not going to give up on my dream even if i cant get into as a freshman student.

So my plan is to go to a community college in the US or a college in Canada, work really hard, get the grades and hopefully transfer. But. before I go and proceed with the applications can you advise me which American community college or canadian colleges should I apply to inorder to get accepted at the University of Toronto. I dont want to graduate with an associates degree to realise that my credits wont transfer. Plus I know there are some colleges that work in partnership with UofT like Humber and Seneca. So please help me make the right decision!

Thank you all!

best thing would be to call U of T ans ask them about your options. Being open and specific, ask them about transferability of the credit which would acquire while waiting for transfer.

U of T sources can help you in the best way. Take a look at their website for transfer options, it will be helpful to chart out the questions which have not been answered by the info presented on their site.

If you read the link above, you will see that transfers from college to university in Canada don’t work the same as in the U.S. The maximum credit you will get with a 2 year college diploma at U of T is 2 credits, 10% of what is required for a U of T degree.
