Can someone help me with these writing questions?

1) After the uprising of October 10,1911, that [has led A] to the establishment of a Chinese republic, many Chinese Americans decided to return to China in hopes of a bright future there.

I chose E as my answer.

I didn't think there was any mistake with choice A since my understanding of "has led" meant that the process of "Chinese Americans" returning to China is still ongoing. Was that the wrong thought process? What did I miss out?

2)The labor union [is negotiating A] a contract with the hospital [that B] [will satisfy C] the demands of the workers and [be acceptable D] to all levels of management.

Doubts: E is the answer. My question is, how did you guys convince yourself that Options B and C are right? :x

3) At Versailles after the First World War, the Allies believed they had drafted that [would have ensured permanent peace]

a) would have ensured permanent peace
b) would ensure permanent peace
c) had ensured permanent peace
d) will ensure permanent peace
e) ensures permanent peace

Doubts: I am torn between A/B/C and I don't have a clue of how I should go about selecting the right choice :x

4) The young fish [were A] very tiny, yet each of [them ate B] many times [its C] own [weight in D] solid food every day.

Doubts: E is the answer, but shouldn't it be weight OF rather than weight IN? Also, is fish an alternative plural form of the word fishes? I didn't make a typo mistake..it's stated as fish in the BB.

5) After Fertude Ederle [had swam A] the English Channel, she [was celebrated as B] the first woman ever [to accomplish C] [the feat D]

Doubts: A is the answer..issit wrong cos of the word after?

is this from QAS? or bluebook

they are from the bb

1) “has led” is present tense. You’re looking for a past tense verb here, like “led.”
2) What do you see wrong with B and C?
3) The correct answer is (B) “would ensure.” A and C do not make logical sense.
4) (E) Correct as is.
5) “Had swam” is incorrect because the had is unnecessary.

5) “Had swam” isn’t unnecessary. Rather, the past perfect tense uses “had SWUM,” not swam.

As to Item 4–The plural of fish is fish, not fishes. The current term is “weight in solid food” not “weight of solid food.” Think of the phrase, “She’s worth her weight in gold.”

Answer is E
