I'm very passionate about photography and have pursued it both in and out of school. I have taken photography every year of high school, including AP during my Junior year. Also, I participated in multiple art shows and won awards in two (see below).

teacher recs: I'm pretty confident, although I won't be able to see them. Im using my photography teacher as a third recommendation (I have known her for three years now)</p>

<p>Finally, I'm planning on submitting my photography portfolio as a supplement to my application</p>

<p>I know that my extracurricular/awards section is the weakest, but can the rest of the application make up for it?</p>

<p>If you’re applying to the Art school (I’m assuming for a photo major?), you’re extracurriculars are just fine.</p>

<p>As usual, I don’t really comment on chance threads. Just wanted to say though that I absolutely LOVE WashU’s photo department. The profs are awesome.</p>

<p>well, i was actually thinking about doing biology because I enjoy science a lot. That’s why I said the extracurriculars were weak- they don’t really match up with science.
but, i’d definitely minor in art/photography</p>
