Hey everyone! I have to make a decision on where to go to college by next month and I've never been more confused. I've been accepted at Macalester, Bates, Colby, Bowdoin, Skidmore, Whitman, Grinnell, Reed, Vassar, and Tufts and I just cannot decide. For a while I really liked Reed but I'm not sure I'd be able to handle such an intense environment. I want to go to a school where people are actually interested in what they're learning and actually discuss those things outside of the classroom, but also where I have time to pursue other interests. Also, I'd love a school that has a more "crunchy granola" feel to the student body, but that's not as important as other factors. When it comes to location, I'd like to leave the Midwest because that's where I was raised and I want to experience something different but if someone can wow me enough with Mac or Grinnell I'd be glad to listen! Can anyone please, please offer some perspective about any one of these schools? I'd especially like more information about the schools in Maine. I've read all the threads on this website comparing the three of them and I understand the basic differences, but any new information would help me out a lot. Thanks for your help and sorry about the long post!
