Can someone please help me in my college search???

I want to go to the best school I can for what I want to do- the sciences. Seeing as I'm in high school, I'm not sure exactly what feild of the natural sciences I want to be in so I'm just looking for schools with really good undergraduate science programs all-around. Problem is, no one bothers to rank science that I can find, and if they do, it's just in number of research papers published...and research doesn't always mean good undergrad does it?
Can someone give me some input on the schools to go to for science? Ones with a wide variety of top undergrad science programs? Anyplace spectacular, especially those that are reasonably priced, or worth the money...

W/in the US, great (but also very selective) undergrad science schools include Dartmouth, Amherst, Tufts, Brown, and Bowdoin (among others - some like the ones I listed are leaning on pre-med) If you can look overseas, Cambridge and University of Sussex are also wonderful science schools.

Where do you live? Do you want a small liberal arts college or a larger university?

small? large? urban? suburban? rural? location?

School type doesn't really matter that much...probably not too small a university because I would like some undergrad research opportunities and some diversity. I kind of want to go public because they tend to be more reasonably priced (even out of state) but I'll go private if it's really worth it. I live in Virginia, so yeah- I do have Tech and UVA available to me, but I want to see if I can do better.

p.s. thanks for the replies...
