Can someone PLEASE help me make this decision?

UCR vs. SDSU

Which is better academically, socially, which would help me transfer into UCI after 2 years, and which is better for getting me into a good grad school?

I want to be a mechanical engineer and I've been accepted to both.

Thank you guys so much!

For ideas on transferring within the California system, see [UC Transfers - College Confidential](UC Transfers - College Confidential Forums) and [California Colleges - College Confidential](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/california-colleges/)

For mechanical engineering, in the end what matters most is whether or not the institution is accredited by ABET. It looks like both of UCR and SDSU are [Accredited Programs Search](http://www.abet.org/AccredProgramSearch/AccreditationSearch.aspx) If you do well at either place, you can get into a good grad school. There is no reason to feel that you would have to transfer to UCI just for that.

In other words, it is probably perfectly safe for you to choose the one that is cheaper for you to attend, or the one that you like the campus better, or whatever other random reason you can come up with.

Wishing you all the best.
