Can SOMEONE Please help me on the Financial Aid thing???

Ok... I don't really understand the financial aid thing.

Yale University Financial Aid > Newly Admitted Students > Application Guidelines for U.S. Citizens, Permanent Residents, and Canadian Residents

Well basically, I'm applying alone and nobody has a clue what to do. The instructions are a mess and I don't really get what to turn in. My parents can't help me because they speak little English.

Now...

1). We complete the CSS profile thing on Collegeboard.com?

Then
2). Parents’ 2007 tax return(s)

Custodial Parents: Submit signed copies of your parents’ 2007 federal tax returns (including all forms and schedules) to Student Financial Services.

Do we send this to Yale by mail???

3).
then...
Imaging and Documentation Service (IDOC) Your family’s 2007 tax return should be submitted directly to the College Board’s Imaging and Documentation Service (IDOC) and not to Student Financial Services.

what the hell is an IDOC? On the above it says to send federal tax returns to Student Financial Services and on the IDOC thing it tells us to send to CollegeBoard IDOC thing...

Or is that for Feburary??? AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Will someone please explain in simple terms?

Do we need just the CSS and signed copies of the 2007 tax return? Yes or No?

Call Financial Services.

Yup. Will do that first thing Monday.

Do we have to send all these forms when we apply EA?
