So I was going to originally apply to USC on Dec 1 for the scholarship and I checked the December 1 box on the Teacher form. However, if I suddenly decide to turn it in on January 10 instead, what happens to me? because I checked the December 1 box for the teacher forms and my teachers sent my letter of recs to them already.

(The reason I want to turn it in on Jan 10 is because I really want my counselors letter of recommendation because I think she will write me a great one, but she said she cant finish by the deadline because so many people ask her first before I did.)

Call the admissions office to ask whether you can change the date to January 10th instead.

If you do not submit your application by December 1st, you will automatically be considered for the January 10th deadline (assuming you get the app in by then) - it will not be a problem.

I recommend you submit by December 1st (later today ) and ask your recommender to get the recommendation in as soon as possible. If it isn’t received in time (there is a tiny bit of leeway with recommendations), you will be considered with the January 10th group. No need to call, it really isn’t a problem.

Good luck!
