Can someone pleeeeeease read my commonapp essay and give me feedback?

So I am applying to pretty competitive schools and I am not the best writer in the world. Would someone be willing to read my essay and tell me if it completely sucks or if I should change my topic? I would really really reeeeally appreciate it

I will pm me

I love writing, I would really like to read your essay and give you a piece of advice!! Pm me

I can’t pm you because I’m a new member ):

I’d be happy to read your essay and give you feedback if you can figure out how to share it. You could post a link to a google doc (we do this in a closed group of college applicants with 1600 members) but this is much more public here! Honestly, the best input you’ll get is from someone(s) who knows you; the goal is to convey your ‘voice’, and people who know you will know if the essay sounds like you. e.g, parent, teacher, coach, sibling, mentor, college counselor, neighbor, friend of your parents, anyone who has know you for awhile. Here is some advice I find really useful and also kind of reassuring…[Advice on Putting Together Your Application | Yale College Admissions](<a href=“Advice on Putting Together Your Application | Yale College Undergraduate Admissions”>Advice on Putting Together Your Application | Yale College Undergraduate Admissions). It’s from Yale but applies to your essay regardless of where you apply. Also the MIT admissions blog is really fantastic. Take some time to read through any that appeal to you. I like this one especially: [How To Write A College Essay | MIT Admissions](How To Write A College Essay | MIT Admissions). (The comments after this article also contain some useful ideas.) Having said all that I remain willing to read and help you edit your essay if you can send/share it.

i just realized I can send you an email address via pm but not vice versa…

honeybee63- thank you so much for the advice and the articles! They really helped.

I’m not sure who the person was that I emailed my essay to, but if you’re on here thank you as well!

I can’t seem to PM but I would love to help you on your essay!
