<p>This is the personal statement for the Common App. I chose the topic of your choice. The word limit is supposed to be 500 words, but my essay is 815 words (It used to be over 1000!). If you could help me cut it down, that'd be great.</p>

<p>Also, one worry I have is that my essay will sound cliched to an admissions officer, or maybe even something that doesn't sound like it's from the point of view of a high school student (I've only gotten a friend to revise it a little). </p>

<p>Anything else that would help make my essay better, I'd really appreciate it. </p>
