Please, this essay may tip the scale in my favor. Please tell me what I need to do to improve it please.

again, don’t send your essay to anyone here. you have people who want you to succeed in your life - parents, english teacher, college counselor, even a friend. they care about how this process goes for you. keep your ideas and essays to yourself.

what if swimmer is a prospective applicant that doesn’t want anyone else to get essay help to boost his/her own chances of getting in.

This presupposes a paranoid view of the world. Just because you cannot verify whether or not a person has best intentions in heart you should avoid the risk altogether. I’ve often got the best advice from complete strangers. Parents often aren’t the best critics. English teachers and college counselors don’t always have your best interests at heart, or are too busy. Also, what really is there to sabotage with a college essay? Plagiarize an essay and put yourself at risk? Purposely give bad advice? Copy/paste the essay throughout the internet?

To OP: You need 15 posts to send a message. Do some posting around, and I’ll read your essay if you still want a reader.

I’ll read it over for you.
You have to make sure the people you send it to are not people who could steal it, not that I think anyone would do that or that would help them much in the end.

I got in ED, I can offer some advice on the content, if your applying engineer, I can be most useful

no one here is qualified to evaluate an essay for college admission. grammar - maybe. no one has any idea what the committee for each college is looking for. ED admission certainly doesn’t make anyone an expert, but congratulations!

Swimmer, we are all human. We have brains and we can read and write and are probably very proficient in English. We can discern good writing from bad writing, good ideas from most likely bad ideas, and some of us are even fairly adept at generating good writing. There is no reason why the OP shouldn’t get opinions about his essay from other people, especially those who have already gone through the college admissions process. No one is claiming to be an expert, we are just trying to help.
