<p>The average UC GPA is about 4.0 at the mid tiers SB, I and Davis. Average SAT high 18oos. So if you raise your SAT a bit it will compensate for the slighly lower GPA and make them matches.</p>
<p>Note that these schools will continue to get tougher to get into as they take fewer freshmen due to the budget crisis and fewer Californians can afford private colleges. Study for that SAT!</p>
