Im really struggling right now. Anyone know some review books or something i could use for extra practice. if u do, please post it here

Huh. I found Geometry to be the easiest math class I’ve ever taken. But it is different from Algebra so I guess some students struggle with it.

I don’t know any review books, but there’s this Geometry textbook by Foerster that explains everything very clearly (bought mine on Amazon for 25 cents. Perfect condition. 4 dollars shipping). It might be a lot of work, but it’ll help if the problem is your bad teacher + textbook.

Ah, Geometry. Horrible stuff. I really just suggest getting a tutor. I don’t know of any review books that are amazingly better than the textbooks. But don’t feel bad. Geometry is tough. I had a lot of trouble in that class.

Oh yea. A tutor will help if you’re really struggling …conceptually? (I’m not sure if geometry requires any hardcore conceptual stuff).

Check to see if your high school has any free after school/free period tutors. Talk to your teacher.

…Isn’t geometry just mainly proofs? Memorization etc.

It is always a bad idea to fail freshman math. So get help now.

my teacher is just really bad. she doesnt explain much and our books arre garbage.

Fairy_dreams, can you post a link of that textbook?

last bump before bed =)

Paul A. Foerster makes really great textbooks. Our school has been using them for over 30 years even though they’ve gone out of print.

BUT NOW I CAN’T FIND IT ANYWHERE. I can find Alg I and Alg II, but the Geometry book is gone. Such a shame :[

It’s only been a year too…where did they go? Maybe my school bought the last remaining ones?

ahhhh man. any got other suggestions for review books?

I don’t know of any specific geometry review book, but maybe you can go to your library and see if they have anything good?

You could try Geometry for Dummies.

I found Geometry very tough as well, I still managed to get As, though. Proofs are horrible.

Proofs are basically the entire point of math…

However, I will agree that those ******** two column proofs in geometry are, well, stupid.
