Can someone who currently attends or attended tell me about how UR is like? Also, UR is a liberal arts college so I don’t know if its the best fit that’s why I’m wanting to know more. I want to major in business, especially entrepreneurship. What do you like about UR? What don’t you like?
I’m a current sophomore at UR. I’m an Artist Scholar and a CS and Math double major, Music and Dance (unofficial) double minor.
UR is a very close knit family! Classes are very small; my largest class I’ve ever had is 35 people and it was one of the largest classes in the school. The vast majority of classes have less than 20 students in them.
Professors really care about their students. They want to help you and often are available outside of office hours. Students also help each other out and want to see their peers succeed.
UR is also great for business! Our b-school is in the top 16 in the country.
My only thing I dont like is that since its a small school, depending on the department, a lot of the upper level classes aren’t offered as often. I don’t think this is an issue in the b-school though.
Let me know if you have any more questions!
