<p>What is it in my application thats lacking? I am kind of nervous because I was expecting to be accepted to Georgia Tech. I am more ****ed off than sad that I didnt get in. I think it may be my grades, but im not sure.</p>

5 APs (bio, stats, chem, english, us history), 2 CC classes (calc and physics)

<p>I went to Connect with Tech last fall with my daughter. The admissions officer said that they read and score every admissions essay. He said there have been highly qualified applicants that they rejected simply because they put no effort into the admissions essay (short, rambling, sentence fragments, grammatical errors, etc). I am not saying that this was your situation. It was just surprising to me. This was the only school we visited that reported putting so much weight on the admissions essay.</p>

<p>You were straight out rejected? They sent you a rejectance letter? I mean, I had a worse SAT combine than you - 1170 Total, and at least I was offered the waiting list! oO; That's really weird. I don't have any AP courses either, and no ECs (but I have a reason and I explained it to them), and I took a week worth of time to do the essay. Lots of revision.</p>

<p>Mm..I think your GPA is fine but yea, your Verbal is quite low. Although, your math is what matters more to Tech, I'd guess. Still.. I'm not sure why you got rejected, Tech is a pretty easy school to get into..</p>
<p>Tech dont really care much about Verbal, their primary concern is a Math score of above 650.</p>

<p>I only got a 600 on the math section of the SATs, but a 790 on my verbal. I'm female, if that makes any difference. I think my essay was pretty decent. </p>
<p>I was surprised I got waitlisted instead of straight-out accepted and now I'm surprised I got watlisted instead of straight-out denied. My GPA (unweighted) is only a 3.4 (though my high school is a fairly competitive prep). </p>
<p>I don't know why they didn't accept you guys... :/</p>
