I may receive a D in a Soc class ( I know.) and that will bring my transferable credits down to 58. If I retake it (or another class) in the summer will UCI still accept me? I ask because the transfer conditions vaguely mention summer transcripts:

Requirements for your provisional admission are listed below:

Complete 90 quarter (60 semester) units of UC transferable coursework prior to transfer.
Submit ALL official high school and college transcripts by July 15, 2012. Summer records are due by September 15, 2012.

I'm calling them tomorrow after I get my final grades so any input would be awesome.

Typically no they wont, but if its UcI I hear that they want math nd english done the spring prior to transfer, but you can finish the 60 transferable units in summer. that said, call them ASAP!

@citizen I’ve seen similar on a matrix before but I wasn’t able to find the source.

@earell My only other conditions do include finishing English by spring, which I have an A in so no biggie. I called and they said the question was too specific so I am waiting for the final grade to come out, then I will use the MsgCtr. D:

@LA It’s not a pre-req. I was more concerned with the unit count because it’s my only ‘borderline’ grade, the other 15 units of A’s should keep my GPA well over 3.5. They mentioned that 2.0+ for the last quarter would be fine.

Also I’ve seen some stuff floating around this forum on extension courses that are 8 or so weeks long. If I started now I could have one done before July 15th and possibly submit the credit from there? Is that allowed, as long as I list the school in ‘MySchools’?

It doesn’t matter if it’s a pre-req or anything else. If you do not pass any UC-transferable course, your admission is subject to being withdrawn. Not passing a class is the #1 reason for people getting rescinded. Although I guess not having 60 units probably makes this a moot discussion anyway.
