William bake once rightly proclaimed, “Populace has the competent to amend past “. Most of the plebeians in the colossal macrocosm would completely bolster the statement that daily action of average people can have significant effect on the course of history while others might show lackadaisical demeanor. Throughout the course of history, there have been several people whose actions have altered history forever even though their individual names and actions have never been recalled or remembered. Humans as history substantiates has been a transmogrification factor in the society. This universal notion is exemplified though history and recent events .
One riveting paradigm of how the daily action of people can have effect the course of history is demonstrated through Civil Rights. In 1961, Rosa Park refused to sit in the rear of the bus, where the blacks were forced to sit. Although she was arrested and abused, but her actions led to the development of Montgomery bus boycott. In 1962, four college men went into a restaurant and had non-violent sit. News of their non violent sit disseminated throughout the nation and within two months thousands of college students buttressed the non violent sit. After accosting the government for several years, the blacks were granted the civil rights.
Another compelling illustration can be seen through the protests in India. On December 16, 2012 a eighteen year old girl and a boy were brutally raped in the backside of the bus. After being raped the girl and boy was thrown out of the bus. The news of the girl being raped disseminated across the realm and millions of people started protesting on the concourse for justice. After protesting for weeks the rapists were hanged to death. With the actions of the “average people” the girl was conferred justice.
Thus, average people with certitude play a key role in the society as epitomized through history and recent events. It is an innate and relentless desire of people to change the society. As Franklin Delano Roosevelt once said, “People are tiny blossoms, having the capability to swoon” .
