I'm an IB student- since we take our IB Exams in May and get them mid June, we don't find out if we get our diplomas until then (june).

So lets just say I don't get my IB Diploma, can Johns Hopkins withdraw their acceptance on the account that I didn't recieve a diploma during the summer?

I'm an IB student as well but I don'tthink that they would take it away and I don't think that you'll have any trouble passing the IB exams. ALso, they just take the IB diploma away not your actual diploma for graduating high school

Yeah... I got really sick in the second semester of my senior year (I was out for a month and a half with a really bad staph infection... the "flesh eating bacteria" thing... fun)

Anyways, I did OK gradewise because I was able to keep up with the work for the most part and my teachers visited me in the hospital, but I bombed my AP French Lit exam. BOMBED. Got a 2. Heard nothing from the admissions office.

So, don't try to do badly, and by all means don't get a flesh eating bacteria problem... but don't worry too badly.

Have the ED decisions come out yet? Or is that later? ::: is shocked that a mere 2 years after this shenanigans I seem to have forgotten everything:::

tinas:
If accepted and you choose to enroll, you will need to submit your final high school transcript and any additional exams (IB/AP) you took. This information will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee to confirm your acceptance and enrollment.

All admissions decisions are contingent on the successful completion of a student's high school work. Not getting an IB diploma is not a central reason to revoke an offer of admission -- but if it is conjunction with low final grades there could be reason for us to re-review the applicant.

Basically, even though you have been admitted and enrolled, it does not mean you can slack off. We will review your final status over the summer, and yes students have had their admission revoked for serious downturns in academic performance, or other disciplinary cases.
