Since the material that an AP Biology class covers also covers the material that AP Environmental Science covers could one hope to take the AP Environmental test and pass simply based on the knowlege they have gained through their AP Bio class?

One could, in all honestly, hope to take the AP Environmental test and pass simply based on the knowledge one has gained through his 8th grade science class and common sense.

Really? that seems a bit extreme.

any other thoughts?

I doubt it, considering they're completely separate classes and couldn't be that similar. Then again, I haven't taken AP Enviro, so I dunno.

Well, I don't know much about the AP curriculums of those classes, as I haven't taken either, but I do know that in IB, one is not allowed to use both environmental and bio as part of their diploma (ie, one as their science and one as 6th subject) because they're too similar. So obviously there's significant overlap in those curriculums, and I imagine it would be similar with AP.

I've taken both, and I think AP Bio plus a review book could get you through the Environmental exam

i've taken ap bio and looked through the ap environmental book and practice questions, and you over like 70% of it in ap bio.

AP Bio = easy 5

AP Env Sci = not so much...i self-studied last year...disaster
