HATE FINALS >(

i want this semester to be over already…

oh yeah…i def meant end of the semester too…

and then summer school! double yay!

I second this…another long night in Moffitt. I was there until 5 AM yesterday…err this morning lol :(.

At least go to Main Stacks! Moffitt is fuuuugly.

I know. Why do they do this to us? Put us through a week of waiting. And waiting. And waiting. Just to take a final. : /

Why do people stay at Moffitt or wherever for so long and miss out on sleep? I don’t get it. People don’t study well if they’re tired. Why not just get the 8 hours and go back to work.

^^ agreed. i’ve been doing nothing but studying this week but i still have plenty of time to sleep (more sleep than usual in fact). it just seems silly that some people think that by squeezing in 4 extra hours of studying in place of sleep they get an “edge”.

Although I wish dead week and finals were over already, I also wish dead week was longer so I could have more time to study. I’ve been so busy studying lately and I still won’t have enough time to cover all the material in my classes.

@bbb360: I agree somewhat. I don’t get people who stay up all night until 5am and then sleep from like 6am to 2pm. You’re still wasting 8 hours.

i regularly pull all nighters before midterms and finals, i do use caffeine though. but those extra hours of cramming always help me a lot.

Yeah, I don’t understand the point of all-nighters during dead week. I mean, we have no class. You have all day to study. I understand the point of all-nighters the night before [project, essay, test, final, etc.] but…in the middle of dead week? what?

study outside. derp.

lol Yeah exactly!

@187 I guess I hadn’t thought of it that way. I don’t really know what people do but I guess that’s what they do…stay up late and sleep in till 2. Whatever…I guess it makes them feel better knowing they studied “all night” lol

best combo is this:

during dead week, study during the day calmly and try to understand the material. then get your full 7-9 hours of sleep each and every night. this way you can internalize the things you study pretty well, especially with the right amount of sleep.

during finals week: cram all the random facts/ideas/formulas/whatever that you know will end up showing up on the exam. not much sleep is necessary at this point unless you’re falling asleep at the exam (fail.) rote memorization the night before the final ftw~

love/hate relationship with dead week ftw

this week is always so annoying haha

I want this week to be over so all the allergens can get out of the air…its awful…I can’t go outside…

Well, actually my final tests are over and I’m just working on final papers at this point. And the reason I was up so late the previous night is because the first paper is due at 5:00 PM today :p. I still get 8 hours of sleep though.

I have a problem. I keep thinking about how hard they try to make the tests and how some people just always get A’s so I’ve gotten into this mindset thinking that I won’t be able to do good no matter what. Can someone help me?! Like I’ve pretty much given up on trying to study. : [ I mean, I study but not as hard as I could if you catch my drift.

man… I hate studying next to a window in the library. it’s been such nice weather lately and I feel like I’m wasting my youth away.

You are. We all are. Is this what we want our lives to be like? Study, study, STUDY??

I don’t know. Right before sleep, I always feel so enlightened after studying all day. Or maybe it’s because my mind has become delusional by that point.
