I would rather get some courses done, so are you allowed to or are u supposed to be devoted to USC?

You can attend another school for Fall.

bump bump bump

bump for?

actually, do u know if there is any contract that we sign to stay with the school we attend? i am going to go to a UC school before i attend as a spring admit if i get accepted but do u just quit the other school and not have to let them know? like for community college, im just gonna stop going because ive gotten in to a UC. is that what u do at higher ed schools?

You would probably want to let the other school know at the end of the semester or quarter to keep them from applying any charges to your account for the upcoming semester and as a matter of courtesy, but there is no requirement that you do so.

don’t even get me started on this one; apparently, I am told on other threads on CC, one is not supposed to double deposit with a spring admit??? How would you plan on going elsewhere in the fall without double depositing??..and then what happens if you come off of the spring admit and are offered fall?

and what happens if you “love” your fall school and don’t want to attend USC?

All of these questions and more have been asked and answered over the past three-four years on CC…

Yes, you can go to another school in the fall. This is a particularly good idea to go to a cc and get some ges out of the way. If you go to a four year college and fall in love than you lose your SC deposit. (Consider it a donation and write it off on the taxes.)

The only “double” deposiits would be if you went to a four year school first semester (to hold your place in that school for that semester) and the deposit to hold your spot at SC for spring. SC will tell you when your deposit is due for spring.

I’d made sure that you talk with the counselor at USC before registering at any school to be SURE That your credits will transfer into USC. You don’t want to transfer and have all your credits not be accepted by USC. Also double-check that it’s OK to take courses somewhere else before you start in the spring. I’d call/contact USC now, so you can have full info in making your decision(s).

there is a good chance you will be bumped for the fall semester if USC doesn’t get the yield they think they will get. I know a person from my high school who got bumped from spring to fall.

The Office of Articulation has clear guidelines for which courses Spring admits can take at other colleges and receive credit for - please investigate that easily found information before calling! All of you were bright and capable enough to be admitted to USC - you can figure this stuff out!

I am trying to stop providing all these links to you kids… let you stand on your own two feet… but one last time… [USC ARR : Articulation : Spring Admits](http://www.usc.edu/dept/ARR/articulation/spring_admits.html)
