Hi , everyone , I came from Viet Nam . And I am applying for the US this year .
Well , I just started my application a few months ago , and I am very worried about it .
Here are my stats :
SAT : 2090 , Math 800 , CR 700 , Writing 590 ( I did badly on the writing :( )
GPA : about 84% , so 3.34 in scale 4.0 , but I came from a gifted school in my city .
Activities : Chief Editor of the School Radio , Office Work at School , some volunteer work , IT prize in 9th grade
My list :
Uni of Chicago ( my dream :( ) , Stanford , CMU ( I want to go for Computer Science )
Brandeis , Hamilton College , La Fayette College , Northeastern
UMass Amherst , Drexel , Lawrence
Can anyone take a look and give me some comment ?
And also any last minute recommendations would be appreciated
Thanks guys :D

Brandeis , Hamilton College , La Fayette College , Northeastern
UMass Amherst , Drexel , Lawrence - think these would be okay.

Think you really need strong SAT II Maths scores 750+ to help your application or even Physics. Being a vietnamese certainly help, I dunno to what extent. For Chicago/Standard, the former in particular, if your application essays are really different and unique that would help, focus on how/what you think and why -though they are still reaches. Improving your CR scores will help too 650+. CMU Comp Sci is quite competitive too…

Take the SAT II Literature Subject Test
It’s much easier than the SAT I Type
SAT I:500 on my first try -10th Grade
550 on my 2nd try -12th Grade
^Both times didn’t bother myself to study

SAT II:600 on my first try and I didn’t even bother to prepare before hand, mainly cause reading long passages bores the **** outta me.
Honestly I think I could’ve scored better on the SAT II, but I’m too lazy/too busy to take it again with Mid-terms/TOEFL/AP Exams coming up :p
