I think this should be enough for my general information...
I know I'm applying to competitive schools only.
I really want to know if I stand some chance at CU... that's the school I really wanna go.
Other than anything, I'm worried about my standardized test scores..
Anyone please chance me?

Since you only put one set of grades per year, I assume your school only gives one set of grades?

UCLA, Cornell, Brown, JHU, Northwestern, and UPenn are all reaches. Your GPA and extracurriculars are holding you back there. And you have to remember engineering school is much more competitive/selective.

I do think you have a good chance at ucsd though.

@MikeHawk: Cornell SEAS isn’t as hard as it should be. If you take a look at the Cornell Official 2014 Decisions thread on the Cornell forum, and look for people who have been admitted to SEAS, you will see that they aren’t as impressive as I expected (no offense to any Cornell admit). The OP definitely has a chance, however I have to agree that your SAT is holding you back. Most Cornell SEAS admits have 2150+, so certainly aim for that.

It’s just year average. I usually get close grades for 1st & 2nd semester:)
It’s kinda hard for me to expect the chance 'cause I’m in an international school which doesn’t provide much extracurricular activities… Also GPA, for some reason, quite number of my school people made to top ranked schools even though their GPAs weren’t that high… Seriously don’t know what colleges look for.

I’m gonna send in ACT score instead of SATI score. I personally think ACT cut-lines are lower than SAT. SATII will be sent in though… Colleges ask for either ACT or SATI anyway.

Anyway, thanks for tips people!
