<p>Since Columbia only allows an online application, it's obviously not possible to physically add a page explaining our extracurriculars more in depth. For instance, 'Music' has been my primary extracurricular, but that looks like nothing unless I can explain that I take piano lessons, I attend an art school where I specialize in music, and I play guitar in a semi-successful band. How can I convey this info and more in an online application?</p>

<p>I attached a one-page “summary of activities and accomplishments” that had a categorized list of meaningful awards, recognitions, participations, milestones, etc. I got in. Whether it helped or hurt, I don’t know.</p>
