w/o approval or penalty right now? Am I correct?

I was told at SOAR that we can. Use the swap function over the drop function.

It’s okay if I used drop and then add right? I don’t need to use swap?

Yes, you can use drop then add. Everyone says using swap just creates less problems, but at this point, you’ll be fine. I’ve never had a problem dropping and adding over swapping. Dropping and adding is a wee bit simpler too.

And you can drop until around a week after classes start, and add until a little while after that.

My advisor said to use swap because if you use drop classes could fill up in the time you drop then add another class. Swapping is just a safer alternative to dropping.

I think you mean add and drop classes once they have started but that you can drop classes after the add deadline is past. Someone please confirm. Nice thing about the computer registration is the hassle free ability to make changes. Just be careful to remember why you and your advisor came up with your original plans to begin with- don’t forget the logic used.
