I’m pretty sure that we can’t, but I just wanted to clarify.
Through Walgreen’s, I qualify for a $1,000/year stipend.
The college I will be attending, UT Dallas, offers full tuition + $4,000/semester for Finalists.
Is there a way I can get both?

No. NMSC clearly states that you will be offered one and only one scholarship. And in this case, it will probably be the corporate scholarship because those are mailed long before the college-sponsored scholarships.
However, many schools will make sure their packages are the same for all Finalists who attend. So you need to check with UTDallas and see 1) How much of this is actual NMSC money and 2) If it is more than $1000/year, whether they will make up the difference between that and the corporate scholarship.
If the award from UT Dallas is not their official sponsored scholarship, but one of the automatic ones for any NMF, then I think you can. Email them and ask if you can still get it. And congrats on being a NMS!
From UTDallas website:
So, only $2000 of this is from NMSC which is less than the corporate $1000/yr so you are actually better off with the corporate scholarship.
FWIW This is very strange that the NMSC scholarship goes only to study abroad unless that is required of all NMF at that school. If a NMF did get the $2000 scholarship, it would be paid from NMSC to DTDallas freshman year (1/2 fall and 1/2 spring) and I would think it would be required to benefit the NMF even if he/she didn’t do study abroad. (Unless maybe the package would exceed cost of attendance but that doesn’t appear to be the case here.) This would be something I would call UTDallas about.
@4everEpical
Just realized you may be confusing the school’s total NMF package with the part awarded by NMSC as a college-sponsored award. I alluded to this in the previous post but just to clarify:
In the case of UTDallas, it is only the $2000 one-time NMSC part of the UTDallas award that conflicts with a corporate-sponsored NMSC scholarship. The rest of the UTDallas scholarship package is something the school offers NMF independent of NMSC. So the result is that you would NOT get the $2000 one-time award but would instead get the corporate $1000/yr. In either case you still get the full tuition/fees and $4000/semester.
The criteria is not which part is automatic or not but rather what portion of the funds is committed to and then paid back to the school through NMSC.
@STEMFamily Thank you SO much, I just realized I was confusing the total NMF package with the NMSC portion.
This just made my day lol, because with the additional $1000/year I could actually attend college for about $500/yr
Good for you, @4everEpical! You are your screen name!
If anyone is in a situation where they prefer one award over another…such as corporate over school, then call NMCorp and tell them that now…don’t wait til awards are offered.
