Can we get Merit Aid as matriculants?

<p>I know that the Presidential Honors Scholars accept matriculants into the program, but im not sure if the 25,000 is rewarded to people accepted into the program?
Is there any possibility in an increase of merit aid once you are actually going to NYU?</p>

<p>the website specifies that entering freshman get 25,000 but nothing else about other entering into the program.</p>

<p>My D was notified that she has received Presidential Merit aid for her freshman year at NYU. Another college gave a similar merit award, with the guarantee of the same 10K each year for 4 years.(subject to satisfactory grades etc. ) Has anyone had experience with NYU's merit aid after the freshman year? We are trying to determine if she maintains the required performance level at NYU, can we expect this merit amount yearly or is it a one time deal.?</p>
