Can you add links to websites in the common app?

Hey,
So a while back I started working on a potential nonprofit organization.
I have talked about it during the activities section. Should I include the links of the website that I created? And if yes where should i include the link?

If you had a non-profit that was active and was helping people and you had accomplishments, then I would say yes and I would say to include it when you mention the nonprofit.

However, since this is a potential non profit …what have you done? Are their any accomplishments? Is it worth mentioning at all?

Colleges don’t really want to see “Yeah, I thought about a non-profit because I heard it was good for college admissions so I tried to start one but haven’t done anything yet really”

But if it is "I have a good idea and support and a goal and are half way toward acheiving that goal and here is what I have done…then maybe. "

If the website is all you have accomplished then I would not include it.

I would not. If it is noted in your application admissions officers don’t need to see additional “proof” such as a website.

I would not put links in the common app.

Some colleges ask you to upload a resume and I think if you want to have links in your resume, that’s fine. (My D last year included on her a resume a link to a local radio interview she did related to an EC.)

Adcoms dont tend to follow links. Their attention is on your actual app and supp. OP hasn’t named colleges or even the tier. But the more competitive colleges also look at your thinking, what you think matters, whether you understand or not. Dont assume throwing everything at them improves chances.

As said by bopper and happy1, a potential achievement isn’t a major accomplishment. You’d need a record. And non profits are nearly always no tip, a lot of effort for work that could be done without that status.
