This may seem like a silly question, and is probably different for each school, but I'm new to the American college system.
I'm wondering if for example a college that is your top choice, ends up denying you admission, if there's any opportunity for you to appeal the decision, perhaps send in your senior grades again for review, have them look at your application again, I'm not sure.
I've been put on wait-list, and declined from 2 colleges so far, so I'm worrying about where I'm gonna end up going if I get accepted anywhere at all.

I think the only time admission decisions are overturned is if part(s) of an application are missing such as recommendations however that is rare. Im not sure if this still happens but my dad who is a h.s guidance counselor was able to get one of his students accepted to suny binghamton after that student was initially rejected but my dad felt it was unfair given the students sat score and grades. But im doubt that sort of thing happens much beyond state schools

If you end up with no good options, then if you are able, take a gap year. Do something amazing and, most importantly, research a different set of schools. Widen your search geographically, don’t apply only to reach schools etc. Hopefully your have options within your own country that are appealing as well.

In general, assume NO unless there is a large mistake in your documentation. Appealing in order to ask them to review your grades again is never going to happen. Harvard would have to review 25000 applications if they allow what you’re asking.

Really depends on the school, we have explored this and found that schools require some new info which wasn’t apparent or was incorrect. it is not just a re-do but rather correction of an error.

Right now the only decisions that have come out in which I’ve been declined are UNC-Asheville and I was put on wait-list for UNC-Wilmington. But other schools I’m waiting on are Davidson, NYU, American University, San Diego State, University of Toronto…
