Ok, heres the situation:
I want to transfer to georgetown(originally fordham or lehigh, but my college grades are high, and i want better)<------sorry for the arrogance

I'm thinking of applying as a freshman transfer for soph. year, but im afraid i wont get in(see my prev. posts for stats, etc.). if i apply a second time as soph transfer for junior year, will that lessen my chances?

*One more question - Can make a copy of a rec letter from my teacher. i asked her for a rec for school X, and the format is very similar to school Y's rec letter, so can i just white out the places where it names the university, and make a copy?

thanks everyone

If you don't get in the first time, yes, you can apply a second time and be considered. You would have to work hard and up your GPA for the second attempt if at first you are not accepted.

thanks.

any other perspectives on this...?

I don't have any idea about your chances, but no, you cannot white out and make a copy of a letter for another school. You need to ask your teacher for permission to send the recommendation to the second school. It shouldn't be a problem, as most instructors keep an electronic copy in case they need another copy.

My friend told me that if you get waitlisted first time, they consider that in second attempt. This is how my friend got into Georgetown.
